Our dedicated team is committed to delivering personalised care to address musculoskeletal conditions, enhance mobility, and alleviate pain for those who have served our nation.
Eligibility for DVA-Funded Chiropractic Services
Veterans holding a:
- Veteran Gold Card: Eligible for clinically necessary chiropractic services.
- Veteran White Card: Eligible for treatment of accepted service-related conditions.
Accessing Chiropractic Care
To begin your chiropractic care with us:
- Obtain a Referral: Secure a referral to a chiropractor from your General Practitioner (GP), medical specialist, treating hospital doctor, or hospital discharge planner.
- Schedule an Appointment: Contact Mahanidis Chiropractic and Wellness Centre to book your session. Ensure to inform us about your DVA card status so we can coordinate billing directly with DVA, ensuring no out-of-pocket expenses for you.
Understanding the Treatment Cycle
As of 1 October 2019, DVA introduced the Allied Health Services treatment cycle:
- Referral Validity: Each referral covers up to 12 sessions or 1 year, whichever comes first.
- GP Coordination: Your GP oversees your care, ensuring treatments align with your health goals.
- Multiple Services: You can engage in separate treatment cycles for different allied health services simultaneously.
