What to bring to your Workers Compensation chiropractic appointment

When injured at work, it is recommended you notify your employer as well as your nominated treating doctor (your family doctor or general practitioner).

Once they have undertaken a thorough examination, they will determine whether you are entitled to workers compensation and will often recommend plan for your work-related injury. You will be required to visit your GP monthly to reassess your capacity for work to ensure a smooth return to work.

Our role as chiropractors for workers compensation is to ensure that we reduce your pain and prevent any reoccurrence of work related movements. When making an appointment please let us know that you are intending to claim your treatment through workers compensation.

Here’s what to bring to your first appointment:

A Certificate of capacity from your GP. Note that your employer will submit this to your workers compensation insurer. This certificate of capacity outlines restrictions to your working capacity.

A claim number.

Contact details of your employer.

Contact details of your insurer.

Contact details of your Doctor.
